Due to its historical value, baroque monuments and colonial appeal, downtown Querétaro was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996. Querétaro Reborn seeks to improve the growth and urban organization of the city, providing a framework for establishing, coordinating and implementing public policies, strategies, programs and activities that promote greater economic, urban and environmental sustainability in the city center.
